Support Engineer, Utility Planning & Forecasting
As a Support Engineer you will be providing technical assistance internally to Integral Analytics and for external clients that utilize software provided by Integral Analytics. You will also be working with product development teams in researching and testing new product features and providing technical expertise related to power engineering and planning concepts. Your duties would involve application testing and review, power grid data modeling and management, client application and technical expertise support.
Required Skills/Experience:
- A Bachelor’s Degree in engineering degrees, such as Electrical, Mechanical, Civil, Environmental, Industrial, etc.
- Knowledge of Distribution Power System Basics for Planning and Analysis
- Practical Engineering Experience/Application in Utility Planning and Operations
- Basic understanding of SQL programming language and database querying
- Apply high levels of attention to detail and technical knowledge in validating software applications and data modeling
- Perform technical analysis, due-diligence reviews, and technical assistance to ensure robust and timely technical services for clients
Preferred Skills/Experience:
- A Bachelor’s Degree in electrical engineering
- 3+ Years of Electric Utility Planning
- Distribution Power Flow Modeling
- Distribution Planning with Distributed Energy Resources (DER)
- Knowledgeable in electric load forecasting and weather normalization techniques
- Experience with telemetry time-series data and analysis of power grid devices
- Extremely detail-oriented
- Proficient in Excel
- Proficient in SQL
- Experience with Python
- Knowledgeable in graph databases
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills for working with clients
