The Intersection of Data, Technology, and Expertise.
Integral Analytics empowers electric grid stakeholders to make efficient and informed decisions using patented technology and insights gained from the decades we’ve spent working with and for utilities and others working towards electrification.
Our customers trust us to deliver software solutions that help them plan, predict, optimize and control upgrades all along the grid edge. And more and more they rely on our services to help them overcome risk and build a more resilient, sustainable and equitable energy future.
Our Team
We believe in the power of technology to shape the grid of the future. That’s why our team works tirelessly to create solutions that will make that future a reality.

Scott Smith
President
Scott Smith is the President of Integral Analytics, responsible for the company’s long-term product strategy and overseeing the development of new business opportunities, partnerships, and team growth. Previously, he was director of product development at IA, responsible for the design and build of new software products. Scott started his career with IA as a research analyst and lead software developer for the spatial electric load forecasting and power systems analysis software, LoadSEER.
Recognized for his innovative spirit and dedication to the advancement of technology, Scott’s interest in the energy industry began during an expedition across the Alaskan Arctic tundra, where he helped design and install remote weather stations powered by solar and wind generators (and lots of batteries, of course).
Before joining IA in 2007, Scott built a mobile application used by emergency first responders, to optimize their response time and equity of service given transportation and hydrological network constraints.

Kenneth Skinner, PhD, MBA

He has his Ph.D. from Colorado School of Mines, in Mineral Economics, with an emphasis in Operations Research, an MBA from Regis University and a BS in Engineering from Letourneau University.
Dr. Skinner is a nationally recognized expert in economic evaluation and modeling of energy assets including energy storage, distribution and generation, efficiency and demand response, renewable energy alternatives, financial derivatives and structured contracts using net present value, econometric and statistical methods, optimization principles, and real option valuation techniques. Dr. Skinner is widely published and currently the technology columnist for Wiley Natural Gas and Electricity Journal. He is a noted speaker on energy related topics for organizations such as AESP, IAEE, ACEEE, PLMA, IEPEC, INFORMS, Infocast, EUCI, SNL Energy and PGS Energy Training.

Darrin A. Kinney, PE
SVP Business Development
Darrin is tasked with seeking out new opportunities for growth by finding and developing partnerships within the utility analytics industry, as well as staying abreast of new developing markets forming around impacts from new regulation and technologies. He develops IA’s long-term vision as it relates to new features and products, and potential new sales pipelines. He serves as the lead sales engineer and leads the group responsible for developing new business.
Darrin has several years of practical utility experience, mostly as a distribution planning engineer for both investor-owned and municipal utilities, where he was an expert user of IA’s flagship product LoadSEER. He was responsible for long-term electric forecasting, analyzing impacts, and creating plans for hardening and expanding the electric distribution grid. He has a passion for new technologies that help with optimizing T&D capital expenditures.

Wes Brown
Director of Sales and Marketing
As the Director of Sales and Marketing, Wes supports our customers who are navigating the energy transformation. He is responsible for building partnerships and driving revenue across IA’s current and future line of products and services. Wes also leads IA’s marketing and branding strategy, both online and at a growing number of industry events.
Prior to joining IA, Wes led the strategic growth of several early technology companies in the clean energy space. After a decade focused on the solar PV industry, Wes steered his passion for solving modern energy challenges toward the largest stakeholder, the utility. In his spare time, you’ll find Wes Mtn. biking, chasing his two little kids, or wrenching on his hobby car. Wes graduated from the University of California, Berkeley with a degree in Environmental Economics and Policy.

Sarah Szewczyk, PE
SVP Operations
Sarah is responsible for translating IA’s vision into systems and processes that work for our clients and staff.
